We work well together. From setting up tables for a special event to securing the safety of our children, we believe we are most effective when everyone is able to help out to the best of their ability and God-given talent.

Building & Grounds Team

It’s all about the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the church’s physical property – both inside and out. This team helps ensure that our church remains a welcoming, well-maintained space for worship, ministry, and community events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to church buildings and facilities
  • Monitor the condition of equipment, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and other systems
  • Maintain landscaping, lawn care, and outdoor spaces (mowing, trimming, seasonal cleanup)
  • Assist with snow removal, trash disposal, and general property upkeep
  • Set up and tear down for services, events, and church functions as needed
  • Identify and report safety or repair issues needing professional attention
  • Participate in regular workdays or special building projects

Ideal Team Members Are:

  • Dependable and detail-oriented
  • Has basic maintenance or handyman skills (or willing to learn)
  • Enjoys working with tools and being hands-on
  • Takes pride in caring for God’s house
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team

Time Commitment:

  • Occasional involvement in larger projects, workdays, or seasonal clean-up

Training & Support:

Training is provided for equipment use and safety procedures. Team members serve under the guidance of the Team Leader and work alongside others with shared skills and a heart to serve.

Cafe Team

It’s all about serving the church family and guests with joy and excellence, fostering fellowship and connection over coffee, snacks, and meaningful conversations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and light refreshments before/after services and during special events
  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized café area
  • Greet guests warmly and help create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere
  • Restock supplies and inventory
  • Clean and close down the café area after services or events
  • Work closely with other hospitality and event teams

Time Commitment:

Training will be provided on café setup, beverage equipment, food handling, and hospitality best practices. New team members will shadow experienced volunteers until comfortable.

     

    Care Team

    It’s all about offering emotional, spiritual, and relational support to individuals in times of need. This team is a vital part of how our church family loves one another well.

    • Communicate timely updates and urgent needs to the pastoral staff
    • Support grief care, memorial follow-up, and encouragement outreach
    • Assist with care packages, hospital bags, or seasonal encouragement projects

      Choir Team

      It’s all about using the gift of music to proclaim God’s truth, inspire faith, and create a worshipful atmosphere that draws people closer to Jesus.

      • Attend seasonal performances (e.g., Christmas, Easter, special presentations, etc.)
      • Commit to punctuality, preparation, and a spirit of worship

      Ideal Team Members Are:

      • Passionate about worship and using their voice to serve God
      • Team players who are reliable, teachable, and encouraging
      • Able to match pitch and sing in harmony (no formal training required, but helpful)
      • Willing to rehearse regularly and grow musically and spiritually
      • Open to direction and committed to excellence in worship

      Time Commitment:

      • At least half of scheduled practices
      • All performances, including Easter, Christmas, Singspiration (when scheduled), and one summer performance

      Training & Support:

      New members are welcomed into a supportive, grace-filled environment. Vocal support, music resources, and direction are provided by the Choir Director and worship leadership team.

        Communion Team

        It’s all about helping the congregation prepare their hearts to receive the Lord’s Supper by offering thoughtful, Scripture-based reflections that point to Jesus’ sacrifice, grace, and ongoing work in our lives.

        • Create a short (2–4 minute) Christ-focused meditation to be shared during the communion portion of the service

        • Lead the congregation into a reflective posture, helping them examine their hearts and remember Christ
        • Communicate with the pastors or service coordinator regarding the service order or special instructions
        • Pray personally for those receiving communion and for your own preparation before speaking
        • Ensure teaching and language align with the church’s beliefs and communion practices

        Ideal Team Members Are:

        • Followers of Jesus who consistently pursue spiritual growth and live a life that honors Christ
        • Able to communicate clearly and calmly in front of the congregation
        • Familiar with Scripture and comfortable using it responsibly in short devotionals

        2. Greeting Team:

        • Welcome each person at the door with warmth, eye contact, and kindness
        • Open doors for guests and offer basic directions (restrooms, kids check-in, next service time)
        • Identify and assist first-time guests, guiding them to guest check-in or the information desk
        • Help families find the children’s ministry check-in area
        • Provide simple problem-solving – helping guests find seats, answering questions, or locating ministry staff when needed

        It’s all about visually tell the story of what God is doing in and through the church. Through high-quality, respectful photography, the team helps capture moments of worship, community, ministry events, and outreach so that the church can celebrate, communicate, and remember God’s work.

            Training & Support:

            All volunteers receive training in curriculum, safety procedures, classroom management, and child development. Ongoing support is provided by the team leader or pastor.

            Medical Team

            It’s all about providing immediate medical assistance during church services for injuries or emergent illnesses. This team is responsible for delivering care until Emergency Medical Services arrive, ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees.

            • Carry a walkie-talkie (rotating responsibility) to ensure direct communication with church security
            • Assist teachers with medical needs involving children when necessary

            Qualifications:

            • Medical training or certification (e.g., EMT, nurse, paramedic, therapist, respiratory therapist, NP, PA, MD)
            • Child Safety Clearances: All team members must obtain child protection clearances due to potential involvement with children
            • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification is preferred

            Ideal Team Members Are:

            • Have a heart for service and a deep empathy for others
            • Work well in a collaborative environment, where teamwork and communication are vital during an emergency
            • Understand the importance of confidentiality and respecting privacy, especially when dealing with sensitive health issues
            • Flexible and able to handle various medical or non-medical situations as they arise
            • Have a heart for ministry, seeing their medical skills as part of serving God and the congregation. They should integrate faith with healing, offering spiritual support when appropriate

            • At least one team member must be available during the services and special events
            • Serve 1-2 Sundays per month on a rotating schedule to ensure consistent coverage

            Training & Support:

            • Proper use of LifeVac anti-choking devices
            • Familiarization with the location and operation of the AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
            • Location and contents of the medical supply bag
            • Walkie-talkie usage protocol and communication procedures during services

              Missions Team

              It’s all about supporting and advancing the church’s local, national, and international mission efforts by fostering engagement, coordinating outreach initiatives, and equipping the congregation to serve. The team’s purpose is to ensure that the church actively participates in God’s mission, both near and far, through prayer, service, advocacy, and financial support.

              • Lighting Operator: Control and adjust lighting cues to support different parts of the service or event
              • Camera Operator: Manage live or recorded video cameras for services and events
              • Livestream Tech: Oversee streaming software and equipment to broadcast services online
