Thanks for your interest in attending the Ministry Training Workshops on March 23 at 5PM. Each workshop is designed to better equip the participant in ministry. You can choose any number of workshops to attend. Each workshop will last about 45 minutes and will be led by a pastor, elder or field professional. The Connections Cafe and snacks will be served in between. Please register below.

Unleash Your Story

Description: Has your relationship with God transformed your life? Have you wanted to share your story but don’t know how? In this workshop we will learn the skills needed to formulate and share our testimony of faith. We will focus on the crucial components of a Christian testimony, how to bring together your personal experience with God’s Word, and do it in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Learn about the powerful impact of your story on the lives of the people around you. This workshop is designed for people at all stages of their faith, from those not sure where to start to more advanced believers who know the importance of telling everyone about the works of God in their life. Your story can change another person. Don’t let your story remain untold. Let’s unleash the power of your testimony!

Effective Strategies for Leading Small Group & Bible Studies

Description: Leading a small group Bible study effectively can sometimes be a challenge. Through the effective strategies workshop, we will address a variety of basic skills that are designed to support any person who may be considering this rewarding outreach for the Kingdom of God. Effective Strategies will include: 1. Session preparation; 2. Seeking God’s guidance through prayer; 3. How to create an inviting atmosphere; 4. Development of interpersonal skills; 5. How to be a facilitator of learning. Implementation of strategies like these may be helpful in providing you with the confidence needed to step up and lead a small group Bible study for the cause of Christ!

Hands On Simple Sound Tech Training

Description: Ever wonder how the sound comes through the church speakers? Well, join Rich for the church sound 101 workshop where you can have fun learning with hands on demonstrations of basic features of how to operate a Behringer X32 sound mixing console. You will learn the most important and frequently used channels to control our church sound to help serve during our worship services.

Disciplining Yourself to Disciple to Your Children: Being Both a Follower and a Leader

Description: Parenting is a divine calling that requires both discipline and discipleship. In this 45-minute workshop, we’ll explore both the biblical and worldly definitions of “discipline” and “disciple,” uncovering how they work hand-in-hand to guide your parenting journey. Through scripture and practical tools, discover actionable ways to instill Godly principles in your home while growing as both a follower of Christ and a leader for your children. Walk away with renewed purpose and encouragement to raise your children in faith, love, and wisdom.

Dfndng Your Faith

Description: This workshop will equip participants with a foundational understanding of, and skills within, the field of apologetics. Don’t be intimidated by the word – apologetics is simply the practice of defending religious beliefs through reasoning. Participants will explore the major apologetic issues that arise today and will learn both the critical thinking skills and theological principles in order to respond persuasively.

Operating the Streaming Experience

Description: Are you interested in learning about our streaming experience? This workshop will teach you how to use OBS Studio to live stream our services on Facebook and YouTube. You will learn about controlling different cameras and connecting with our viewers while serving during our church services.
