KID’S CHURCH SAFETY INFORMATION
#LovedAndSafe
Overview
All of us here at the First Christian Church of New Salem want everyone who comes into this church to feel welcome and to have a wonderful experience worshiping our Lord and Savior.
The number one priority of our Safety Team is to keep our kids as safe as possible while attending services and other events. A safety program has been implemented here to and help make your kid’s learning experience and your worship experience better by any worry you may nave about your kid’s safety or your own while you are here.
If you have any questions or concerns with our policies or procedures, please see one of our Safety Team members and we will be happy to discuss it with you. Thank you for your cooperation and trust in our safety program.
Safety Program Highlights
- Our Safety Team uses the KidCheck system for registering and monitoring your kids. When registering through KidCheck, please make a note of any person who can NOT as well as who can check-in or check-out your child. Also make a note of any allergies or special notes. Your child’s sensitive information is securely stored in the KidCheck database.
- A parent must drop off child at check-in station. The child cannot check themselves in.
- After worship service, please be prompt when picking up your child. Once your child is checked out, it is your responsibility to monitor them.
- Due to distractions with the classrooms and for the safety of each child, parents and guardians are not permitted to enter past the registration desk or the classrooms. This allows us to ensure that every person who enters the classroom has up-to-date child clearances on file.
- If you would like see your child, you can take them out of the classroom by showing a marked Safety Team or Kid’s Ministry Team volunteer your corresponding receipt or by providing your registered phone number. We have a sensory/cry room for your convenience – Room 105.
- In the rare event of a fire, our Kid’s Ministry Team and Safety Team members will get your child to a safe location outside of the building. Please refrain from attempting to get your child out of the class as this may cause confusion and chaos. Once the children are outside and the teacher has taken attendance to make sure all children are accounted for. A mobile check-out process will occur.
